Preface
A friend read Three-Body and couldn't stop praising it. At the time, I scoffed. Later, I happened to get the txt file and gnawed through it bit by bit.
I. The Past
Mother's betrayal, father wrongly accused and killed. Ye Wenjie experienced all these when she was still a child. Since then, Ye Wenjie died. A body without consciousness walked alone through the pitch-black universe.
The frail lumberjack touched the white tree stumps, ring by ring of annual rings, breathing in the tree's sorrow. With equally white fingers, he broke into her world. She once thought it was dawn, only to discover it was another deception...
II. Comrade
Little Ye dared not hope to become "Comrade Ye," impossible and unwilling to become a true "comrade." The past left her only with deep despair, despair toward everyone around her, even all of humanity.
The despair that followed her like a shadow tightly gripped her. On the cliff, listening to the eternal noise from the universe, she felt no loneliness at all. Because she had already died long ago.
Marriage didn't bring even a glimmer of light to her world. She didn't expect such a man to bring her anything. Life remained peaceful and lonely.
Finally, she waited for a faint glimmer of light from the horizon. She stood up and shouted to the universe, hoping the Lord could come to save this world, change this desperate world.
Eight years later, she finally had a comrade and became the highest leader of this organization—the Supreme Leader, working hard for that dream launched into the universe.
III. Deception
Another deception, this time from a comrade.
She only wanted the true Lord to descend and change this desperate world. But he wanted to destroy this world. Watching the black fish on the beach slowly die, father's words shattered his already fragmented childlike heart once again. He was equally desperate about this world, wanting to tear apart the entire sky.
The comrade drifted further and further away. The aging her was tired. And he stepped onto the strings of death.
IV. Bugs
The Lord heard her voice and saw the human world. In the Lord's eyes, humans are just bugs. These bugs will live under constant surveillance. Earth will have no more secrets.
At this point, deception became the only weapon.
